Obituary: Deborah Smith

Deborah Kay Smith, 48, of Columbia died Saturday, May 6, 2000, in Columbia.

Services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rick Frost officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith was born Aug. 24, 1951, in Columbia to Lloyd and Elma Stewart Burks.

She married Gary Smith on Sept. 12, 1969, in Columbia, and he preceded her in death.

She was a member of Broadway Christian Church.

Survivors include a son, Brian Smith of Sturgeon; two daughters, Stephanie Kidwell of Clarksville, Tenn., and Jessica Smith of Columbia; one brother, Ronald Burks of Little Rock, Ark.; two sisters, Sue Farlow of Asheboro, N.C., and Martha Strawn of Columbia; and two grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
