Michael David Deering, 60, of Columbia passed away Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, at Parker Funeral Service.

Michael was born June 3, 1951, in Columbia to David and Margaret Deering, and they preceded him in death. He was married on May 17, 1987, to Julie Beth Martin, and she survives.

He was a 1969 graduate of Hickman High School. He had worked at Tony’s Pizza as a driver for 33 years until his retirement.

In addition to his wife, he also is survived by his brother, Robert Deering of Texas; five nieces; six nephews; three brothers-in-law; one sister-in-law; and many friends.
