Mary “Katie” Gimarc, 43, a medical assistant died Aug.13, 1994, near Colorado Springs. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Pikes Peak Metropolitan Community Church, 730 N. Tejon St., with the Rev. Nori Rost officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetary, 1000 S. 26th St. Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Evergreen Funeral Home, Fountain and Union boulevards, is handling arrangements. Ms. Gimarc was born Nov. 11, 1950, in Booneville, Mo., to Ray Blaine and Mary Viola (Henderson) Lewis, who live in Dubois, Wyo. She also is survived by a son, Joseph Alexander of Anchorage, Alaska; two daughters, Mary Beth of Colorado Springs and Karen Ann of Anchorage; four brothers, Ray Henderson Lewis of Tulsa, Okla., Robert Allen Lewis of Springfield, Mo., John William Lewis of Denver and James Edward Lewis of Milbourn, Fla. Ms. Gimarc had lived in the area for eight years and previously had lived in Missouri. She was a member of the Colorado Springs Diversity Chorus.
