EVA CROSBY OBITUARY

EVA NANNETTE "NAN" CROSBY Eva Nannette "Nan" Crosby, 63, of Liberty, MO, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2014 after a courageous battle against ALS. Nan was the daughter of Raymond and Emily (Collins) Riggins. She graduated in 1969 from Hickman High School of Columbia, MO. Nan received her BA in Education from Central Missouri State and her Masters in Education from Webster University. She taught 27 years for the NKC School District as a 1st grade and special education teacher. Nan was a member of the Liberty United Methodist Church and Xi Gamma Pi. She loved attending to her family's needs and enjoyed knitting, baking, traveling and serving the community. Nan married John Crosby on November 24, 1972 and to this union three children were born: Emily, John Raymond and Blair. She was preceded in death by her mother. Survivors include her husband, John of the home; Emily (Rob) Slaton of Lake Waukomis, MO; John Raymond (Ann) Crosby of Leawood, KS; Blair (Marci) Crosby of Hallsville, MO; seven grandchildren, Hunter, Anna, Allison, Sam, John Colin, Jax and Fletcher; her father Raymond Riggins of Dumas, AR; and her brother Frank (Elaine) Riggins of Little Rock, AR. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 29th at Liberty UMC (1001 Sunset, Liberty, MO 64068) with visitation on Wednesday, May 28th from 4:30 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at the church. Burial at Fairview Cemetery in Liberty, MO will immediately follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to either the Missions Team at Liberty UMC or ALS - Keith Worthington Chapter.
