Ken Kendall was an amazing guy. I have many wonderful memories of him when we were at Dent Middle School and he was my first "true boyfriend". I still have a couple of drawings that he did for me(he was a great artist). He may have been short in stature but he had the biggest heart of anyone I have ever known.
When it came time for us to go to RNE, geography said that Ken must go to another school. But then I will never forget the day when I was standing at my locker in the E building when he came up behind me and said "guess who?". We were both over the moon because he was there to stay and we would get to graduate together...
Then that awful day in April 1989 happened and Ken was taken away from us. God called him home to be with Him to watch over us and I choose to believe that Ken has been my own guardian angel.
Even though Ken did not get to walk across that stage with all of us at graduation, I know that he was there with us. I think about him every day and he will always be in my heart.
I knew Ken since, I believe Elementary school. He was such a nice guy. We had an early bird class together in the 12th grade, and when I heard the news I was shocked. I couldn't speak. I will never forget a few day before his death. I was in an awful mood and I spoke kind of firm to him. He stopped and ask was I alright. I said Yes. I didn't mean it against him, then he died. I will never forget that. It made me think about people differently. You never know when your time is up or someone else's, you have to make you sure you don't say anything you will be sorry for later. You may not get a second chance to say; I am sorry.
Ken was a sweet heart. Always nice and making me laugh. We would spend time making each other laugh and I will never forget him. The day of his accident I will never forget and will always remember.
