BAKER QUARTERLY LUNCHEON June 16, 2025
RECAP
Dear Lion & Lioness:
What a great time we all had. We had 62 present as some came late. We also had 2 first time. Sandye and I were there by 10:00 AM to set up and THANKS to Emilia (Butts) Chittum '72 for registration, Mike Chittum for raffle ticket sales, Sandra Duncan '76 and Yvonne Mitchell '75 for passing the tip buckets. Country Rd. Buffet was great especially the chicken. Lenny Shores '64 and Claude Reeves '62 came from far away as Florida and Tak Lampe '73 from Cincinnati, Ohio. Excitement was in the air. The gals beautiful as always and the guys some could use some help. Lol. You could feel the love of a family and that is what us Lions are, a family. Our standby chaplain, Lenny Shores '64 with beautiful words for our 13 deceased members. Country RD. Buffet opened at 10:30 AM and the tables and food were ready for us.
Cook's get Together Sat 13th
We did not have but 30 show up. One drove from Ohio an another from Florida. Some were disappointed that only a few showed up. I understand that several have health issues and could not make it. We are ALL getting much OLDER and are limited. We don't know how much longer we are going to be around so let us have a HUGE turnout in December 6 at Cook's. Roy Cook '68 does not charge us for the used of his restaurant.
