Have You Heard About The Aflac Pioneers?

Membership Requirements:

• You must have at least 25 years of service with Aflac (either as a Headquarters employee or in the Field Force)
• Membership dues cover the cost of expenses related to events for the Pioneers each year:
  • If paid by February 15th, the fee is $50
  • If paid after February 15th, the fee is $100

Purpose:

• The purpose of the Aflac Pioneers is to encourage camaraderie and fellowship among those who have a shared LOVE for a company that has been/is a big part of our lives. Members come from all levels or positions within the company. Some are retired while others are still working. Many members may have worked closely together, while others may be acquaintances; or you may make new friends within the group.

Activities:

• We hold a convention each year in the Fall, alternating between Columbus and a location that is voted on by the active members. Mini events, like golf and other local venues, are held throughout the year as well. While there is a cost to the participating members for these events, it is kept to a minimum to encourage participation. There is no requirement to attend, but participation is encouraged.

Do current Aflac employees get time off?

• Membership is not considered a “work” event. Therefore, for those Pioneers who are still Aflac employees, you must receive approval from your leader for personal time off.
