Christopher Shawn Davis May 16, 1965- October 22, 2008 COLUMBUS, GA— Mr. Christopher Shawn Davis, 43, of 3838 Lyn Dr., Columbus died Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at his residence. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at South Columbus United Methodist Church Rev. Joesph Roberson Pastor and Bro. Jarrett Lakes officiating. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery, according to Sconiers Funeral Home 836 5th Ave., Columbus. Visitation will be from 1-7 PM today at the funeral home. Mr. Davis was born May 16, 1965 in New Haven, CT; the son of the late Prestee Davis and Annie Ruth Davis of Columbus. He was employed with WRS Infrastructure Environmental as a Field Tech Operator. He was a member of South Columbus United Methodist Church and a 1984 graduate of Spencer High School. Other than his mother, survivors include his loving wife, Shuronica Lakes Davis of Columbus; two children, Erykah Lashawn Davis and Shandrea Montez Davis; four step children whom he loved and cared for as his own and help reared, Darrius L. Lakes, Danielle S. Lakes, Dionna L. Lakes and Serenity Lakes, all of Columbus; one brother, Daryl Davis of NY, NY; father-in-law, Adolphus Lakes and mother-in-law, Joan Lakes, both of Columbus; brothers-in-law, Adolphus (Wanda) Lakes and Roderick Cody, all of Columbus; an aunt, Ruth Davis of Durham, NC; great uncle, James Crawford and great aunt, Margie Crawford, both of Durham, NC; God parents, Ret. Colonel Mr. & Mrs. Willie Davis of Columbus; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
