MSgt. Walter E. Haralson -WARNER ROBINS - Walter E. Haralson, 77, passed away on October 24, 2007. Mr. Haralson was born on March 5, 1930 in Barnesville, Georgia. A U.S. Army veteran, he served in the Korean Conflict and retired as a Master Sergeant. He was married fifty-five years to Ruth C. (Degott) Haralson. He had a Master's of Science in History from Columbus State University, Columbus, Georgia. He taught for twenty years for the Muscogee County Board of Education at Spencer High School, Columbus. He was a member of the American Legion and a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He loved teaching and football. His parents, William Anderson Haralson and Amanda Eva (Hutto) Haralson, two brothers and one sister, preceded him in death. -Survivors include his wife, Ruth C. Haralson, Kathleen; sons, Walter E. Haralson, Jr. (Susan), Tennessee, John W. Haralson (Sandy), Colorado, James David Haralson (Caryn), Perry, and Glenn T. Haralson (Karen), Daphne, Alabama; sisters, Martha Joiner (Bill), Montezuma, and Lydia Richards (Bill), Enterprise, Alabama; twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. -Visitation will be Monday, October 29, 2007 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at McCullough Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11A.M. on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment at 3P.M. in Park Hill Cemetery, Columbus, Georgia. -In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 332 N.
