Carmen Julia Lopez, 89, of Columbus, GA. passed away December 31, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital.
The family will receive friends Monday, January 13, 2020 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Carmen was born December 28, 1930, daughter of the late Estanislas Rodriguez and Julia Ramirez. She retired from Muscogee County School District where she worked as a Teacher and taught Health Occupations and Spanish. Carmen also worked as an interpreter for the Columbus Police Department as well being a Registered Nurse at St. Francis Hospital.
Survivors include her sons, Perry Lopez of Columbus, GA and Antonio Lopez of Murfreesboro, TN. daughters, Naomi Lopez of Phoenix, AZ. Carmen L. Kile of Chicago, IL. Catherine Lopez of Nashville, TN. sister Eva Rodriguez, brothers, Jamie Rodriguez, Guillermo Rodriguez, Julio Rodriguez and, Manuel Rodriguez, grandchildren, Brian C. Lopez and Julia Kile.
