Obituary for Leon A. Taylor

Mr. Leon Anthony Taylor passed away Thursday at his home. He was 57 years of age.

Born in Columbus, GA, Leon was the beloved son of the late Ms. Rosa Mae Taylor. He attended William H. Spencer High School, and served over 25 years as a dedicated truck driver within the Columbus-Phenix City area. Leon was also a proud employee of Swift Denim Textile, and was a member of Macedonia Christian Ministries.

Survivors include: his wife of 33 years, Mrs. Juanita Winters Taylor; two daughters, Dominique Winters and Brittany Taylor (Andre); two grandchildren, Malia and Cameron Bailey; a sister, Linda Taylor; six brothers, Robert Taylor (Donna), James Taylor (Maurice), Bernard Taylor, Michael Taylor (Yvette), Alfred Taylor and Greg Taylor; his father-in-law, Walter Elgin; a brother-in-law, Elton Winters; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Taylor will be held Thursday, May 24, 2018, at 12 noon at the Progressive Chapel.

The interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery.

Visitation is today, 2 til 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
