Combined Reunion?
Posted Wednesday, January 6, 2010 07:22 PM

Hi guys!  Welcome to the site and thanks for signing up so quickly after it went up.

Shannon left me a comment on FB that she has been approached by the Class of 1991 about having a combined reunion.  Personally I have no issue as my motto is always "the more the merrier".

Your thoughts??

I think it is a great idea.  I agree Manuel, the more the merrier.  And, more people = more money = better venue , entertainment, food , fun etc.......Lets do this thing right.  No half ass party.  What are some of our options for locations?  My thinking is, if we can get the class of 91 to join in the fun, then we should look at a decent hotel in Sacramento.  Maybe the doubletree, the raddison, embassy suites.  what do you all think?

Good to hear from you Rob!

I like your idea of something nice here in Sacramento, and not just because I've been living here the last 19 years.

The group of us that got together at Lori's last year had similar ideas.  Lori aimed REAL high and said that we should do Vegas.  As a single, childless man I look for any reason to visit Vegas but I think the logistics would be impossible.

I'm going to propose a meeting date via FB so that those of us in the Sac area can get together and start talking details.  Any and all results will be made available to everyone via this site and FB.  Just because we have some classmates that don't reside in the area doesn't mean that those voices and opinions should be excluded.

Manuel,

I love the Vegas idea.  But, we would probably end up with 10 other classmates at our reunion.

What about the Napa Valley?  There are plenty of places there that would be able to accomodate us.  We could do a family day in Colusa on Friday, and then have the reunion party in Napa on Saturday.  We could also plan an optional wine tasting trip for those who are interested.  Perhaps that would entice those who need a little extra enticing.  And maybe it would make it a little more attractive to the Class of 91 if we decide to include them.  Just a thought.

Any thoughts on dates?  Sometime in July maybe?
