 Salina Journal – Nov. 20, 2003 Kathryn A. Baker, daughter of Gail L. Sawin and Kathleen Mary Hiltgen, was born June 9, 1940, at Waterville, and died November 16, 2003, at Mount Joseph Senior Community, Concordia, at the age of 63. She graduated from Notre Dame High School in Concordia. She married Kenneth D. Baker. She later moved to Pennsylvania and worked as a bookkeeper, working twelve years as a Human Healthcare Bookkeeper for the State of Pennsylvania. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Concordia. Baker was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers; and a sister. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Baker of California; sister Pat Gerard of Concordia; and brother Donald Swain of Salina. Services were held November 18 at St. Concordia Cemetery, Concordia, with the Rev. Barry Brinkman officiating.
