My memories of middle school years are pretty hazy, so I don't remember too many specific things about Steve. I remember he had a good heart and was one of those kids your heart just went out to. I can remember feeling really sad for him during some of the struggles he went through and feeling happy when I saw him smile. The poor guy, I really wish things could have turned out differently for him.
Steve had a very nice smile. He was also very funny and very nice to me. He attended my church and would sit w/ his Grandma. He was not a problem kid in school, just a kid w/ problems. Heidi
When I look back on things now, I know what Steven was a very misunderstood kid. All he was looking for was a little attention and recognition. He just wanted to 'fit in'. Kids can be cruel. He lived down the road from my grandmother's house so we would hang out when I visited. He was alot of fun and had a wonderful imagination. He defended me in school one time when some older kids called me 'four eyes' and passed it off when they said they were going to catch-up with him after school and beat him up.(Yes these are probably the same glasses Roger tried to throw away and from the pictures I've seen I wished they would have stayed there.) It makes me sad how some of our lives have been cut short.
Steve Parker was a very genuinely nice person , I was sad to hear he had passed , just goes to show us how very fragile life is and that we should all cherish the time we have together , I know I do . GOD bless you steve, save a seat for us ....
