Brian Nix

Brian Nix, 39, of Austin passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2010. He was born on December 13, 1970 in Corpus Christi, TX to Joe and Carolyn Nix.
 
Brian graduated from King High School in 1989 and from the University of Texas in 1995 with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology and in 1996 with a Bachelor's Degree of Arts in Environmental Science. He met the love of his life, Dawnita Nixon while attending UT and they married on July 15, 1995 in Kingsville, TX.  Upon graduation he began his career as an editor for Ralph McElroy Translation Company where he had since been employed. Brian had a passion for gardening, was an avid reader, and liked to dabble in the culinary arts. He was a rabid UT fan who enjoyed watching and playing sports and liked to spend time outdoors with his family. Nieces and nephews will always have fond memories of Uncle Brian playing board games as well as electronic games with them. Most importantly Brian was a dedicated father to his son, Jake.
 
Brian is survived by his loving wife, Dawnita Nix; son, Jake Nix; sister, Julie Weis and husband Jeff and their children Elizabeth and Claire; father, Joe Nix and numerous other loving family members and friends.
