Veronica was so smart and beautiful. I remember so many things about her especially that she liked to be a perfectionist and was very competitive. Although I was in drill team with her, I did not know her as well as many other people. My regrets are that I wish I had spent more time talking to her while in drill team. I used Veronica as an example to my middle school kids as a counselor while discussing bullying and becoming a better person. I tell all the kids that they never know when their time is up here on earth and how people will remember them a certain way should they die. People always feel guilty at funerals about something they wish they had done or said. My guilt was only getting to know her better. I often think of Veronica and wonder what she would have become if her life hadn't ended so early.

I too remember Veronica, reason I named my second child Veronica, for her. Veronica and I had many private conversations in Mr. Barrera's Photograhpy class.

She was so smart and beautiful and a great friend to have.

Veronica even once took me to Rosita's Mexican restarunt so I could sign up for Feria's de Los Flores. I stayed, I listened and told her that was not me. So she decided to sign up to be a Highstepper. Once again; not me. She made my time at Miller very enjoyable.

I will never forget her.
