
DAVIDSON
Our beloved, Thomas Quincy Davidson, of San Antonio, TX, went to be with our Lord on March 1, 2010, after a battle with Lewy Body dementia. "Tom" was 68 years old. He was born to the late Thomas Q. and Laura Christina O' Docharty Davidson on March 11, 1941, in San Antonio, Texas. He grew up in Corpus Christi and attended New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, NM before graduating from W.B. Ray High School in Corpus Christi in 1959. Tom then attended the University of Texas where he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Mary's University in San Antonio. In 1970 he married Margaret Ann Dickson in Houston, TX and relocated to San Antonio, TX in 1987. Mr. Davidson enjoyed a long career in the life insurance industry before retiring in 1996 from USAA. Tom was known for his smile, laughter, and giving back to his family and community. He was an active member of Concordia Lutheran Church where he served as an usher and participated in Bible studies and various other services. Additionally, he served as a Boy Scout Volunteer and ultimately became District Commissioner from 1992 - 1998. Tom loved outdoor activities including camping with and watching his sons play sports as well as restoring and rebuilding classic cars. His latest years were spent substitute teaching at several area San Antonio High Schools due to his love of teaching and interacting with the students. Tom is survived by his wife of 39 years Margaret Davidson, 4 children including sons Trey Litel, Crayton Davidson, Quincy Davidson, and daughter Dawn Murphy and one brother Charles A. Davidson. He also had 8 precious grandchildren, Collier, Charles and Conrad Litel, Nick and Tyler Murphy, and Maggie and Katherine Davidson. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in the name of Thomas Q. Davidson to: Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Road SW, Suite 202C, Atlanta, GA 30047.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, March 3, 2010, from 4pm - 7pm at Mission Park Funeral Home (3401 Cherry Ridge) and a funeral service will be held March 4, 2010, 10am at the Fred J.
