William 'Bill'

George William 'Bill' McCaskill, 71, of Corpus Christi passed away December 20, 2012. Bill was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Bill was born in San Antonio, Texas on September 13, 1941 to G. B. and Isabel McCaskill. He graduated from W. B. Ray High School in 1959. He was a member of the US Coast Guard Reserves. Bill worked most of his life in the Mortgage and Real Estate fields. He was a proud member of the St. Patrick's Choir.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Betty; one son, Brittain (JoAnn) McCaskill and three daughters; Susan (Andrew) Lang, Sharon (Tim) McCandless, Anne Marie (Phillip) Lara all of Corpus Christi, one sister, Joan (Dayton) Smith of Karnes City, and sixteen grandchildren; Andy, Amanda, Javi & Cody McCaskill; Trevor & Meagan Duncan, Ryland Lang; Zachary, Benjamin, Samantha, Ian & Nathan McCandless; Caitlin, Cameron, Garrett, Savannah Lara; one great-grandchild Nolan White and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church (3350 South Alameda) with a Rosary at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 28, 2012 followed by a Funeral Mass.

In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make contributions to the Gulf Coast Humane Society
