I did not know David very well when we both attended Ray High School. It wasn't untill I ran into him at Marine Corps Infantry School that we both recognized each other as former class mates. After Infantry School, we ended up both serving in the same unit together. It was then that we became good friends. David was the kind of friend you could always count on to do the right thing. He had very high moral standards and I could always talk to him about anything...even personal problems. We lost David to a motorcycle accident on S.P.I.D. He was a good friend and a great Marine.
David was such a nice person and cherished friend of mine. He was one of our Band Drum Majors at Ray and he was so kind to me. I miss him terribly. The last time I saw him: I was in my boyfriend's car driving back to A&I in Kingsville and he was in the back seat of the car in front of us. He looked back and smiled and waved to me. It was funny that I saw him while traveling down 77 South. God Bless You David!
