Gary was flying in a experimental ultralight following RAGBRAI taking pictures west of Cherokee when his plane went down.  Gary lived life to the fullest trying anything that came his way. He had a son and 2 daughters that he loved very much.  He was a great friend to our family, more like a brother. He was the only person from our class that I never lost contact with and was looking forward to him visiting us here in AK.  His family was part of my life from the time I was born (his grandfather delivered me). Needless to say he is missed very much and thought of everyday.  I am sure if he was here he would be at the reunion. He was a friend to everyone.

Gary was my first boyfrend, the summer before I went to AL. We met at the pool- the Cabana club. He was really sweet, and funny. I remember him "cutting cookies" with his car up by the old driver's ed trailer in the AL lot. We didn't date very long, and my parents didn't really let me go too many places, but I remember hanging out at the pool, and driving around in the summer. I have really nice memories of Gary that bring a smile to my face.
