GODDARD-Bruce Gordon Goddard of La Verne died July 6, 2009 after a five month illness. He was Vice President of Investments for Morgan Stanley, Smith Barney in Claremont. Bruce was born January 18, 1950 in Pasadena and graduated from Covina High and the University of Redlands. In addition to his distinguished 36 year finance career he was active in communit y affairs through Kiwanis in Covina and La Verne as President of Friends of the La Verne Library. He was an avid golfer, a talented pianist and had a host of friends throughout the area. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Diane; sons, Timothy of Redondo Beach, Daniel of Santa Barbara; daughter Suzanne, a student at Kansas State University; grandson, Hayden; brother, Douglas of La Canada and parents Richard and Patricia Goddard of West Covina.
