I am writing because I was remembering my old club soccer coach Jerry Kern who passed in 2004 from a heart attack. I don't know if you knew him, but I do know he graduated from USC and married his wife Sherri -- I don't know if she was from Covina. He lived in in La Verne until his passing. He was survived by his wife, two sons, and a daughter.

I guess I only write this because he came to mind when I saw his graduation picture. Besides, he was a great man. The kind that touch your heart and leave a lasting impression.
