Lanier was one of my classmates from first grade at Covington Mills School through High School. I remember in the third grade that he was injured in an accident and was absent from school for several months. His parents and mine worked at Covington Mills and lived on the Mill Village. I lived across the street from him and Thomas Glanton. I remember when he passed how very sad his family were.
