United Way of Anderson County Westside Community Center PRINT THIS STORY| E-MAIL THIS STORY Obituaries: Single Page View 12/4/2005(Publication Date) ADAM SMITH MARTIN, GA. -- Adam Vincent Smith, 37, of Shawnee Trail, Martin, died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. He was the son of Patricia Adams Smith and the late Warren L. Smith. He was born on Oct. 31, 1968, at the U.S. Naval Hospital in San Diego, Calif., and had lived most of his life in Stephens County. He was employed with Southeastern Electrical Contractors in Lavonia, Ga., and was a U.S. Navy veteran having served in Desert Storm. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thelma P. and Thomas L. Adams. Surviving are his mother, Patricia Adams Smith of Martin; daughters, Emily Rae Smith and Jessica Ann Smith both of Toccoa; brother, Conrad Smith of Costa Rica; and his grandmother, Wilma Smith of Florida. Graveside services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Sonny Pless officiating. VFW Post 4346 will officiate military honors at the graveside. The family will receive friends at Acree-Davis Funeral Home from noon Tuesday until the funeral hour.
