SWANTON - Johnny Ray Barnard, 47, of Chestnut Grove Road, Swanton, died Friday, May 25, 2007.

Born Feb. 3, 1960, in Cumberland, he was the son of Louise (Kasmier) Barnard of Swanton, and the late Ray Clarence Barnard.

Johnny was an operator for Local 37, having worked for W.O. Grubb, Alexandria. He was a member of Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church, Swanton, and a member of Black Hawk Tribe 131 Improved Order of Redmen, Westernport.

In addition to his mother, Louise Barnard, he leaves behind his wife, Tina (Green) Barnard; a son, Johnny Ray "Bear" Barnard Jr., of Swanton; a daughter, Shana Barnard, of Swanton; a sister, Debbie Henderson and husband Jay, of Swanton; and two grandchildren, Anastazja and Corbin.

The family will receive friends at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Donald Nelson officiating.

Interment will be in the Barnard-Henderson Family Cemetery, Swanton.

Pallbearers will be Jason Henderson, Steven Green, Kurt Kooken, Richard Paugh, Bill Paugh and Jimbo Paugh.
