I have very fond memories of Chuck. I emigrated to Monee from Berlin in 1956, didn't speak English. Thanks to Chuck and many others from Monee (Allen Wolf, Barry Krizan, Jack Hackett, Ron Fredericks, Ray Brock), I was able to learn English and the American Way of Life. Chuck, vielen Dank für deine Hilfe.

First, my condolences to Char and the family.  He was quite a man, my closest high school "buddy."  We did everything together - sports, work, play, double dating....  In high school and every summer he was the pitcher and I was the catcher.  For three years "Bomber" Fredericks, Chuck, and I worked for Bimba Manufacturing in the garage behind Chuck's house and the defunct Bimba Hardware store in Monee.  Little did we know that one day the name "BIMBA" would be known worldwide.

Things changed the day Chuck met Char.  She was the one.  They were married in 1965 and surprised me with a visit at Campus Crusade for Christ headquarters in California while on their honeymoon.

Through the years Chuck was involved with a prison ministry with Chuck Colson.  Periodically we talked with each other about our spiritual journeys and knew for certain that one day we would see God and each other.  I will see my buddy Chuck again.

Our deepest condolences to Our classmate Char Conant Bimba, and family!  Chuck was a special person, as other classmates have posted early memories!  I applied at BIMBA Manifacturing but my brother-in-law, Bob Eustace, asked me to start working for his new computer company, Applied Systems, where I worked 15 years until retirement!  Gordon and I knew his parents too, when they lived next door to Stanley and Aldine Manson (Gordon's boss at AMOCO). We send prayers to family - we'll see Chuck again in Heaven!  Happy Birthday in Heaven, Chuck!
