HELDT Lewis O. Lewis O. Heldt, 71 years, of Columbus, OH, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2010 in his home. A bakery bread man for 20 years, he had worked for Perfection Bakeries, retiring in 2001. The son of Orville and Wilhelmina (Neimeyer) Heldt, he was born November 11, 1939 in Crete, IL. He married Suzanne Martin in 1963 and she preceded him in death in 1994. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Lewis was an avid fisherman, golfer, bowler, and accordion player. He loved playing the slots at casinos and was a Chicago Bears fan. Lewis was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his loving children, Brent Heldt, Tracy (Wayne) Cain, Wendy (Carl) Stevens, III, Lewis Heldt; sister, Patricia (Darrell) Avery; 15 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday from 4 until 8 PM in the Bedford Funeral Chapel, 8300 Lewis Avenue, Temperance, MI, where the Funeral Service will be held at 7 PM, by Pastor Rick Deisler of Whiteford Wesleyan Church.
