I am so saddened to hear of Allen's passing. He was that quiet, shy, sweet guy who respected all of us, was considerate of others' feelings, and never was offensive. He was a dear friend, a special part of our lives at JJHS, and I am truly glad that he was a special friend of mine for those roller coaster high school years. As we celebrated our 50th reunion last September, Allen was there! He hesitated at first, unsure, in retrospect perhaps due to his health....but he stood up and he showed up! And I am SO glad he did!
At this point in life it is hard to come to terms with a contemporary's passing....someone we knew so well....and speaking for myself, I am truly saddened by this loss. I will always remember this dear sweet friend with that little smile he had, and the gentleman that he was. Rest in peace, Allen. Your memory will never die. xo
