So sorry to here that my old friend has passed away. I knew Jay Bird, as I called him, from 2nd. grade on. We started our first business together, mowing lawns & delivering news papers. He was a good man & will be missed. My condolences to his family. Dewey
Sorry to have heard that one of my best, liked individual has passed away. To me Jay was one best person that I have ever met. We competed in sports at times and never let our friendship get in the way. Jay was always kind and thoughtfull and he will be missed, especially by me. May you rest in peace and God speed.
Craig Haase: I was greatly saddened to hear that Jae has passed. He was a wonderful guy and a complete team player. As Rita said, he always a bringer of smiles. I haven't heard from Jae since before the 50th reunion, when he called and urged me to attend, which I did not but now regret. God bless Jae, and we should consider ourselves lucky to have been friends with such a fine person.
I was very sad to hear about Jae. He was one of my best friends growing up and I spent endless hours playing ball with him on the court in his back yard. We shared four great years of basketball together at CLCHS and left with many fond memories. He was a great competitor and was lots of fun to be around. He was one of the best and will certainly be remembered by everyone lucky enough to know him.
Sorry to hear of Jae's passing. He was a guy who was friendly to one and all. My condolences to his friends and family.
I was glad to see Jim Rosulek mention the basketball court in Jae's back yard. I think it was a major contributor to the development of what I think was the finest BB team n CLCHS history. A real team with no one dominant player. As a avid fan of all sports I loved following that team through the huge upset of Prospect and the near miss against Waugegan.
Jae was indeed a major contributor to that team. I imagine in heaven right now Jae is shooting hoops again.
The last time i saw Jae was at our 55th reunion. He wasn't doing well at that time,.Besides being a great baskeball player on a team that grew up together Jae was very friendly, had a good sense of humor and seemed to care more about others than himself. Jae had his hand in several business, even some with our classmates. It's said to see someone like Jae pass on much less any of the classmates we have lost.. May he receive his just reward.
