All of the In Memory posts for our class are tough to see, but this one hurts more than most to me. I considered Steve to be my best friend from junior high throughout high school. Steve was one of the brightest and funniest guys I have had the pleasure of knowing. So creative and artistically gifted and one of the few fellow White Sox fans in C L. I tried my best to get him to attend our 50th and 55th reunions but to no avail. So sorry I did not get to see him one last time.
Hopefully a more complete obit will follow. Steve died in Creal Sorings, IL on 2/2/17 with a memorial service on 3/10/17. He graduated from Wabash College and was an English professor and administrator at Rend Lake College for many years. Survived by his wife Janie, his daughter Julia and two grandchildren. A full obit can be found on the website for Johnson Hughes Funeral Home, Marin, IL.
I haven't seen him for years, but today I am really missing him. God bless Steve!
