Jim Barango passed away on Oct. 2, 2021. He was living in Las Vegas where he lived with one of his sisters, Madeline. Previously he resided in Los Angeles, CA where he lived for 50 years.
The visitation will be held on Oct. 29 from 10:30am until the memorial service at 11:00am at Davenport Funeral Home in Crystal Lake. The obituary is listed in the NW Herald.

Although we didn't "hang together" in high school, always liked Jim, a nice guy. So sad for his family's loss.

The Barango family lived just a few blocks from us in the Crystal Vista area decades before it was formally incorporated into Crystal Lake, so I remember Jim and his sisters fondly as part of our neighborhood. My brother Art recalls spending time with them and "talking cars" especially with Jim's dad.
My thoughts and prayers are with Jim's family...hoping they find some comfort in knowing others care. Rest in peace, Jim. God bless.
