John was the first guy, outside of my summer bud's from the North Shore, that I met after we moved to CL in May of '63.   John lived within earshot of our home, across two open fields .. John on Gate 6, my house on Gate 10.   John welcomed me warmly and made me feel right at home in an area that I was totally unfamiliar with.  I always appreciated John's "quirky" sense of humor and his sincerety.  John and I rode the same bus to school each day and became pretty close friends.  I remember seeing John at our first reunion (10th) and always asked about what he was doing or where he was at susequent reunions.

Thanks for the memories ... lots of water under that old bridge during the last 50+ years.  John will be missed.
