I had the opportunity to see Larry perform as Pavarotti a few times & was always impressed how good he was. I know he really studied & learned so much to create his imitation. RIP Larry.
Larry and I crossed paths a few years back. He shared with me a story about the time he dressed as Pavarotti and wandered around the lobby of the Civic Opera House where Pavarotti was performing creating quite an uproar. One of Pavarotti's people noticed Larry and escorted him to Luciano's dressing room where our Larry had the experience of his life! In addition to backstage access, Larry was chauffeured home by Luciano's personal valet. Not bad for a CL Tiger!

The Bear may be gone, but the memory of his love for Pavarotti's music remains in tact and strong.
