Mathew King Waukesha, Wis. - Mathew King, 24, of Waukesha, Wis., died Friday, May 19, 2000, at his home. He was born May 23, 1975, in Waupun, Wis., to Steven and Kim (Gossfield) King. He was a graduate of Crystal Lake South High School in Crystal Lake. After high school, he attended Truman State University in Kirksville, Mo., where he received a bachelor's degree in chemistry in 1998. For the past year, he has been a medical student at The Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He was a nationally registered paramedic. He was employed with the Adair County Ambulance District in Missouri for five years. He was recognized as the Adair County's EMS Person of the Year in 1998. He enjoyed making wine, golf, softball and motorcycling. He also was a third-degree Mason and a member of the American Medical Association. Mr. King is survived by his parents of O'Fallon, Mo.; a sister, Monica King of Menomonee Falls and her fiance Duane Balsiger; his fiancee, Nancy Bruner of Waukesha; his paternal grandmother, Donna King of Waupun; his maternal grandparents, Roger and Rushara Gossfield of Waupun; two aunts, Kathy (Steve) Thomas of Beaver Dam, Wis., and Marni (Scott) TeBeest of Minocqua, Wis.; and several cousins. He was preceeded in death by his paternal grandfather, Orlin King; and an uncle, Gary Gossfield.
