I remember now. The accident occured in January, 1967. Joanne was dating Mr. Winkelman's brother.
There was a true January thaw that month with heavy fog, and Joanne and Winkelman (don't remember his name) were coming home after a late night out. The accident occured at the intersection of Johnsburg Rd. and Route 31. Winkelman's car rear-ended the car stopped at the stop sign.
Sorry if I have upset anyone. I am amazed what we remember. Joanne and I walked home from school nearly everyday. She was the first friend I lost, so your memories have jolted mine.

Joanne Frazier died while we were still in High School. We were Juniors, so that would be 1965-1966.

1967. Fall.
Joanne worked at Eagle along with myself, Jackie Roese, Sally Erber and I think Donna Brown.
She was dating a younger brother of one of the social studies teachers. I think it was Mr. Winkleman.
Died in a car wreck. Why did it seem, Too many carwrecks took several of our classmates and hurt several others. Old windy roads......
