English teacher Ron "Hawk" Hawkinson passed away Monday, September 7, 2015. He was born Feb. 6, 1937, in Chicago. He graduated from St. John's Military Academy in Delafield, WI, in 1954 and served as a medic in the US Navy from 1955-57. He graduated from St. Olaf College, Northfield, MN in 1962. He met his wife Judy while at St. Olaf, and they married on Sept 9, 1961. Hawk worked for Washington National Insurance until 1966 when he "found his true calling" in the classroom, where he taught English at CLCHS and CLSHS from 1966-2000. He served as English Dept Chair for 20 years.
