Jody Shear (Glaser)

I am curious how many people are bringing significant others. Can we do a poll? While it would be nice to have people meet my husband, and for him to meet people, I am also looking forward to catching up with everyone and he might be bored.... and it might be harder to spend time with everyone.

Thoughts?

Jody, I won't be bringing anyone with me, but I'm sure many other people will bring family and a lot of others share your concerns.

Can you believe it's been 20 YEARS??!

Hey Jody-

I know that a bunch of people so far are planning to. We will try to make it fun for the spouses too. Maybe we can plan a "Meet the people I dated in High School" game...no...how about Spouse Wrestling...or a Game Show called "Guess Who THAT Guy Married!".

My wife will be there, so that's one.

Hey Jody,
My man gave me a resounding "no" when I asked if he'd like to come. So I'll be going solo!

My husband is planning to come. He'll be the guy hanging out at the bar.

My wife will be coming along, too. I'll put her on a rigorous study program of the yearbook so that she is up to speed. Then she can join all the rest of us in saying, "who let all these old people in here?"

Oh man, I was going to bring Dave's wife! Now who am I supposed to go with?

I'm still not sure if my wife will be attending or not; I can see pros and cons to both, but I remember at the 10-year reunion, there were a lot of conversations like, "This is Jim. He and I had History together junior year." I'm hoping to avoid that this time around.

My husband, John, has conditionally agreed to join me. If anyone wants to meet him he'll be up in the room watching G4 and playing ROCKBAND with my daughter....and Shelley "the ripper" Van Warneck". They will obviously need to leave the phone lines open in the event that House of Blues contacts them for a gig.

I do hope people bring their spouses/bff's/partners in crime. Personally, I haven't seen 99.9% of the class of '88 in 20 years. Hanging with some of my old friends and meeting their spouses and kids is what I am most looking forward to.

I will try to find another husband before the reunion so I can bring him and then consequently ignore him while I catch up with peeps. Or, I will be playing ROCKBAND with Tessa's husband and make cameo appearances between sets.

I echo Jody's feelings, "I am also looking forward to catching up with everyone and he might be bored.... and it might be harder to spend time with everyone."

Of course, replacing "he" with "she", I feel the same way. Plus having school in full swing and just being able to fly out for the weekend, it would be way too expensive for the 3 of us to come out. I'll be "Bach'n" it that weekend!

Oh, I didn't realize that Rock Band was an option. How come no one ever told me that before? Is it too late to cancel my ticket for the reunion? I'll be up jamming with Tessa's husband and Shelley.

I get dibs on the guitar!!!!

Y'all go ahead and Rock Band--more for me at the bar!

Hi Jody,

What's the point of getting married, if you can't torture your husband at a reunion....for better or worse right? I guess that would be a yes, my hubby is going. I can't wait to see everyone.

My wife has her 20 year from Fremont this summer so I don't know if I could take all of that flashback. Reminds me a bit of that movie with Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore..."Music and Lyrics". We are moving to Hawaii this Summer so might be a bit tough to get over during that time.

Olivia...whats the deal...you never call. Geez, we are only an hour away now. Get your asses up here to Monterey and visit.

RJ-

Hawaii this summer? Hmmmmmm...we might have to move the reunion to the islands!

Wow, Seeing the names in this forum definitely brings back memories (granted I was probably not in class most of the time :))!! It must be fate as I was doing a google search for my name and this site showed up??!! I wouldn't have known we'd be having a reunion if it weren't for google!! I'd check with my wife to see if she'd be available. Good to "see" some of you again.. And Thanks, Brad, for setting this up!

RJ,

Why would you only want to have Fremont flash backs??? Get your ass to the reunion and deal with it already!!!!

Wait, did my phone ring and I just missed it?

If you don't go, I'll never speak to you again!! After your birthday party that may not be much of a threat ,BUT......well damn it.....there you have it!

WOW, I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT IT'S BEEN 20 YEARS; I DON'T FEEL THAT OLD! ANYWAY, I'LL TRY AND MAKE IT AS I WASN'T ABLE TO GO TO THE 10 YEAR REUNION; HOPEFULLY IT WON'T INTERFERE WITH MY SCHOOL SCHEDULE. BRAD, THANKS FOR SETTING THIS WHOLE THING UP, I KNOW IT TAKES A LOT OF TIME.

My wife is the social butterfly. She won't feel as tortured as your typical average spouse. ;-)

I have a request for the reunion: name tags!

After twenty years, I know I'm going to run into people who I instantly recognize, but can't remember their name. I think name tags would be a big help. And if they could include a yearbook picture, even better!

I agree with everything but the yearbook photo. That is one thing I would love to forget :-)
