MONTROSE ??” Jennifer Suzanne Omer, age 38, of Montrose, Colo.? passed away Thursday morning, July 16, 2009 at Hospice Care Center in Grand Junction, Colo.? 

Jennifer was born Oct. 14, 1970 in Richmond, Va.? She attended Hollins University, where she was on the equestrian and swim teams.? Jennifer later obtained her degree as a licensed veterinary technician, and dedicated her career to working with animals.? 

An incredible, loving mother, she always went above and beyond for her children. She was the ultimate horse show/ski racing mom, cheering on her kids at horse arenas and ski slopes across Colorado.? A dynamic personality, she displayed the highest level of character and grace, which was evident during her battle with cancer.?  Jennifer is survived by her husband, Robert M. Omer; son Lawson William Omer; daughter, Morgan Elizabeth Omer; parents, Roy and Becky Crosse of Newport News, V; In-laws, Bob and Meg Omer of Fincastle, Va; brother-in-law, James Omer of Boquete, Panama; and Maizey, her four-year-old quarter horse.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, July 20, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Crippin Funeral Home Chapel.? 

At Jennifer’s request, cremation has preceded the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Oak Grove Elementary School, PTC., in memory of Jennifer Omer, P.O. Box 10,000, Montrose, CO, 81402.?
