"Marc Aarron Ryan served his country in the United States Navy after high school. After he finished his tour, he returned to Roanoke and worked for a local company that installed and maintained natural gas lines. As far as I know that employment only lasted a couple of months until he moved just south to Martinsville for a better job doing the same thing but, for more money. I saw him one year at the Salem fair, around 1996, and a year or so later I called to touch base through his aunt and uncle who told me of his death. Marc was a great guy who made friends easily and had a different sort of view on life. I am unsure if he outlived his grandmother, whom he loved very much. I do know when I spoke to him at the Salem fair, he had married and had 2 stepchildren."-jackie farmer
