Nicole Croft

Heather Nicole Croft, 34, of Greensboro, N. C., formerly of Roanoke, Va., departed this life on January 8, 2006, and is now resting safely in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. A graduate in 1989 from Lord Botetourt High School, she graduated from East State Tennessee University with a double major in Political Science and Criminal Justice and later attended the College of Charleston, S.C. and John Marshall School of Law. Heather joined the U.S. Coast Guard and served at the Fort Lauderdale, Fla. station as a Maritime Law Enforcement Boarding Officer. She was currently employed with Central Equity Group Mortgage Co. in Greensboro as a loan specialist. Heather was predeceased by her grandparents, Lillian (Gran-granny) and Everett (Honey) Croft and Creed L. (Papa) Wheeler and an uncle, Everett W. Croft, Jr. Surviving are her father and mother, Samuel and Jean Wheeler Croft of Clemmons, N.C.; grandmother, Eva V. Wheeler of Vinton, Va.; aunts and uncles, Anna and Charles Kennedy, Douglas and Mildred Wheeler, Fred Wheeler and Libby Jones, Carlton and Marsha Wheeler, Patricia and John Mann, Bonnie and Danny Henley, and Gary Wheeler; cousins, Christian Cannaday, Erica Cannaday, Christopher Croft, Christy Hall, Lynn Henley, Kristy Maynor, Alisha Robertson, Eva Sprousel, Sharlee VanTine, CarlaJo Wheeler, Jesse Wheeler, Justin Wheeler, Ashley Worley, Scottie Worley and Timothy Worley; special great-aunts, Minnie Jones, Gaynell Stanley and Hazel Hall; godfather, Paul S. James; many treasured friends and her best friend, "Tootles" (Happy Thoughts !).
