She was a light to the reunions we had. She always accepted me as a sunseter :). She was funny and smart and so fun to be around     Celia Hopkins Edwards

Rita was a special friend from our Greiner days.  Her personality was captivating and her wit will always be with us.  I will see you on the other side, sweetheart.  Love you forever...Paul and Vicki

Dearest Rita,

When I read that you had passed on, all I could do was say was "Oh, No," over and over again.  You were the absolute SPIRIT of our class for all those years, supporting the rest of us in untold ways.  You will be missed more than I can ever say... until I see you again, dear friend.  --  Charlotte

I truly loved Rita. She was one of the sharpest and funniest women I had ever known. Her work on organizing our bison reunions was incredible. I did stay in touch with herand was able to talk to her about four days before she passed away. We actually had some laughs remembering some old times. I also got to have a very long telephone conversation with her older sister Sue. A truly fine lady. This last year we lost Anna Maria Curry, Frances Looney and Sandra Grosclose. All friende from Rosemont through Sunset. ALL will be sorely missed.

To know Rita was to laugh, to be happy, just to see her mischievous smile and eyes twinkle.  I didn't realize how long or how well she had known Doug Miller until I received a note after he died.  She told me how lucky she thought I was because I got one of the good guys.  She was right.  I will miss her.
