 Zagorski, Patricia Lynn age 64, of Dallas, Texas passed away peacefully among loved ones in the arms of her Lord Jesus Christ on 11/1/2011. She was born on 6/12/1947 in Dallas, Texas to her parents, Lucious and Maude Isabel Ramsey. The eldest of two siblings, she is survived by two loving sons, Jack and Nick, her brother Kent, and her mother Isabel. She attended Sunset High School in Oak Cliff and graduated in 1965. She was a hard-working and well-respected media director who was passionate about her job. Towards the end of her life she became a devoted member of Watermark Church, where she took on the leadership of a support group for parents of prodigals. From A to Z, she enjoyed the simple things: family; friends; travel; worship; and a good old-fashioned laugh. She led a well balanced life, stuck to what she believed in, and always stayed true to her heart. She will be remembered as a loving mother, a caring coworker, and a faithful friend. She is also survived by her two nieces Elizabeth and Leah Ramsey, and her nephew Darwin Ramsey. She was preceded in death by her father Lucious Ramsey and Aunt Beatrice. May she rest in peace. Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service at 10:00 am on Monday, November 7th, at Water-mark Church. I've just learned of Pat's death this morning. Pat was one on my dearest friends, from our first meeting at Greiner Jr. Hi until now. We practically lived together; she was at my house or I was at hers. She lived on Langford and I lived on Brighton. Our meeting place was the railroad tracks at the corner of Wright Street and Waverly Dr. We kept that "trail" hot until Lynda Johnson got her red, convertible Super Sport and we finally had "wheels"! What a fun and innocent time that was.
We all had a favorite movie star; Pat's was Steve McQueen. I remember my Dad taking us downtown, to the Majestic Theater, on Thursday night (a school night, how wild we were), to see him in person. It was the opening of his first movie, "The Magnificent Seven". Since it was pouring down rain I think the five of us (Lynda, Sandra, Carole Frazier, Pat and I) were the only ones there. We were on the front row, my Dad having been banished to the very back. Before the movie started we were allowed to write down a question for Steve and drop it into a "hat". When he came out onto the stage, the theater manager would pull a question from the hat and ask it. The magnificent Steve would answer. Of course our questions were the only ones in the hat, BUT we would scream as though there were thousands of questions and we were the lucky five who were smiled on that night by Steve McQueen.
I am so thankful that I was able to be with her at our 45th Reunion. I remember tracking her down a few days before, trying to get our old "gang" together. What a great time we all had! Sandra Young Walker, Pat and I had talked about trying to get together with Sherry Johnson Hightower (class of '68; sister to Lynda Johnson) and reminisce about Lynda, who passed away in 2000. Sadly, we never did.
Pat was a great friend. She was as beautiful at age 64 as she was at 13; beautiful inside and out. She blessed me in so many ways and my life is richer for having known her. I will miss her terribly. Frieda Heath

Pat's brother, Kent, called me Sunday night to tell me that Pat had passed away. I was shocked because I was unaware that she had gotten sick again. She looked so wonderful at our 45th reunion. I just couldn't believe it! I went to her Memorial Service on Monday, 11/7, and it was such a beautiful tribute to Pat's life. Her two sons, Nick age 21, and Jack age 25, both spoke so lovingly of their Mother and how proud they were of her, and shared some of their wonderful memories.
I have had a hard time dealing with her death. I keep seeing her at the reunion and It doesn't seem real - but it is. It makes you stop and realize how precious every day is.
Kent said she passed with great dignity and grace at home with her family around her. Pat wouldn't have had it any other way.
I am truly blessed to have had such a dear sweet friend as Pat and will miss her terriably.
