Ken was one of those guys that seemed to be genuinly happy all the time. He stayed in touch with Coach Kimbrell through out his adult life. Ken lived on the border line between Woodrow and Hillcrest and could go to either school. He was told by Cotton Miles at Woodrow that he stood a good chance of being a starter there, or he could be a Panther; probably not start; but would probably be on a championship team.
He became, he didn't and he was.
Ken plowed through a painful and degrading form of cancer with a smile on his face and a happy optimisim. I was proud to know him and learned a lot from him about dignity and courage.
Keep smiling
Jay Mason
