Robert was a lifelong resident of Dallas, graduating from Hillcrest High School, George Washington University and the University of Texas at Austin School of Law. He was also an active community volunteer. He served on the board of Temple Emanu-El Brotherhood and was a former President of the Oak Cliff Lions Club which he represented on the Dallas Police Awards committee. A genuinely warm and kind gentleman, Robert modeled a life of integrity, generosity and service to others. Following a burial at Temple Emanu-El Cemetery, a memorial service will be held on Monday, July 18, at 11:30 am in Stern Chapel at Temple Emanu-El. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Weiss Youth Fund of Temple Emanu-El Dallas or The Oak Cliff Lions Club.

Robert was a gentleman and committed  citizen. We have lived near Carol and Robert for years and our girls all went to Pearce High School. Robert inspired the girls to make the world a better place. My prayers are with Carol, the family and close friends.

Robert and I were cousins, and I had the good fortune to spend time together with him inside and outside of our school years.  Always thoughtful and kind hearted, Robert even managed to overlook the fact that I nearly blew  up his future wife, Carol Glick, in Mr. Neal's chemistry class.  I'm sure that Carol, and their daughters, will take comfort in fond memories of Robert's life, but he will be missed.

Richard, I was saddened to learn of Robert's passing. I will remember him as a kind and caring person. I still have the newspaper clippings of the two of you as 16 year olds volunteering at The Dallas Service for Blind Children. I am sure that Robert demonstrated that compassion throughout his life.
