The Linda Blotcky Memorial Scholarship Fund was gifted to Booker T. Washington

High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (Arts Magnet) for the school to assist students with

tuition and other costs of pursuit of college/university/conservatory education.

ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP: This $1,000 annual scholarship is named in memory of Linda

Blotcky. Linda was a dedicated teacher in the Dallas Independent School District during the 1970’s

and early 1980’s. When she died suddenly at age 40 of a brain aneurysm, her friends and family

established this scholarship in her memory. The scholarship has recently been designated for a

graduating senior at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts.
