Mrs. Charlotte Ann Slovacek, 58, died Tuesday, May 2, 2006, at the BaylorMedical Center in Dallas. She was born Aug. 31, 1947 in Ennis. She was reared in Dallas, graduating from Hillcrest High School in 1965. She then attended TWU, earning her BS degree in Nursing. In 1967 she was married to Steven L. Slovacek. After their marriage they lived in Ennis. She was employed as an RN with the Ennis Municipal Hospital, Baylor Hospital in Ennis and the Ennis Regional Medical Center for 30 years, the IOOF for a year and was with Family First Hospice for two years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waxahachie. She is survived by her husband, Steve, of Ennis; a son and his wife, Steven L. and Telia Slovacek, Jr. of Ennis; a daughter and her husband, Rebecca Ruth and Robert Moore of Galveston; and 7 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Betty Mittelbach. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Keever Chapel. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in St. John Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. Josephs Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation.
