Mr. Nathan P. Ballew, better known as "Pete", 40, of Ellijay, departed this life on Wednesday, Dec.19, 2001, at North George Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Ballew; and father-in-law, Billy Green.
Survivors include his wife, Debra Lynn Green Ballew; mother, Betty Ballew of Chatsworth; sisters, Charlotte Ballew and Denise Ballew, both of Iowa; brothers, Lamar Ballew of Chatsworth; Michael Ballew and Arlan Ballew, both of Rocky Face.
Sister-in-law, Dedra Hardin of Dalton; nieces and nephews.

I was just looking through my senior book and found pics and letters that Nathan "Petey" and I use to write each other during class. He was a great friend during high school. I found his obituary on www.pipl.com. He passed away in 2001. He had a wife named Debbie Green Ballew, and he lived in Ellijay. I have thought of him often and am very sad to hear of his death. I think his friendship probably meant more to me than any during my senior year. Reading the notes brought back a lot of memories............time........life...........wish he was still here!
