Mr. Donald E. Barnes, 44, of 3181 Misty Trace, Canton, died Monday evening, August 4, 1997 at Cartersville Medical Center.

He was born June 2, 1953 in Dalton.

Survivors include his wife, Celia Upchurch Barnes of Canton; two daughters, April Barnes of Marietta and Elizabeth Tackett Gellsone of Michigan; two grandchildren; parents, Onis and Reba Bishop Barnes of Dalton; four brothers, Mike Buford Barnes of Ooltewah, Tenn., Tony Jerome Barnes of Dalton, Danny Lee Barnes of Gainesville, and Ricky Allen Barnes of Dalton; three sisters, Sandra Dunaway, Sharon Silvers, and Carolyn Bell all of Dalton; special friends, Shane Kilgore of Chatsworth and Johnny Bumgarner of Waynesville, NC.

Graveside services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at United Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.

Kenemer Brothers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
