Earl David Kernea, 53, of Dalton, Ga., died on Friday, August 14, 2009 at his home.

Mr. Kernea was born July 24, 1956 in Whitfield County, Ga. ; and was preceded in death by his father, Lemuel Kernea.

He is survived by his mother, Virginia Powers Kernea; daughter and son-in-law Shannon and James Davis of Dalton; brother and sister-in-law Patricia Ann and Randall Craig of Villanow, Joyce and Ronnie Johnson of Dalton; and grandson, Jay Davis.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Earl David Kernea will be held Monday, August 17, at 3 p.m. from the Cleveland Heights Baptist Church with Pastor Roy Groce, Brother Bruce Headrick, and Brother Scotty Baker officiating.  He will be laid to rest at the Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Adam Craig, Edward Craig, Josh Kernea, Kelvin McClure, Keith Shepard, Adam Catlett will serve as pallbearers.
