
Mr. Stephen Neil "Steve" Trentham, 50, of Dalton, departed this life Monday afternoon, Jan. 24, 2005, at the local hospital.
Stephen was born Jan. 31, 1954, in Bradley County, Tenn. He was a devoted husband, father, son, grandfather, brother and friend. He was a devout Christian who loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and was employed at Superior Yarn.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 32 years, Mona (Key) Trentham of the residence; daughters and son-in-law, Teiya Eubanks of Chattanooga and Tiana and Derek Smith of Dalton; his grandchildren who were the light of his life, Kolby Trentham, Hagan Eubanks, Ashlyn Stephens and Braden Smith; parents, Neil and Mildred (Bivens) Trentham of Dalton; sisters and brother-in-law, Beverly Trentham and Sherry and Jerry Holmes, all of Dalton; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Grady and Ethel Key of Dalton; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Rhonda and Gary McDonough of Chattanooga; nephews, Ken Holmes, Rodney Holmes, Marc Holmes, Eric Jenkins and Geran Jenkins; niece, Darice Chadwick; several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Steve are Thursday at 2 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church with his pastor, the Rev. Robert Staten and the Rev. Dennis Newman officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery with his nephews and son-in-law serving as pallbearers. Music will be provided by Paulina Pettit.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 to 9 p.m.
